I ask about the door and the internet at the house before I recommend anything. Some locks work on the door alone, some let you change codes from anywhere.

And tell me whether the house has Wi-Fi. I’ll suggest a lock and give you the price for the lock and the fitting.
I fit it and set it up with you
On the day or on a call if you’re not there, so the codes are yours and you know how to add a guest.
You get a backup way in
Every lock has one, whether it’s a key override or an emergency power point. I show you where it is.
Price: the lock at cost plus fitting, both quoted before I come, so you know the full number up front.

Holiday home questions
Does the house need Wi-Fi?
It depends on the lock. Some keep codes on the door and don’t need internet at all. Others connect through Wi-Fi or a hub so you can change codes from home. I ask before I recommend one.
What happens if the batteries go flat?
Smart locks warn you well before they run out, and each one has a backup way in. I show you yours at handover.
Can my cleaner have their own code?
Yes. Your cleaner, your family and each guest can all be on separate codes, so you can remove one without changing the others.
Do you cover Torquay and the whole Bellarine?
Yes: Ocean Grove, Barwon Heads, Portarlington, Queenscliff, Drysdale and Torquay, plus the rest of Geelong.
