Lockout questions
How much is a lockout in Geelong?
$125 all up for a standard house lockout — call-out, travel, labour and GST in the one number, day or night. If the lock has to be replaced as well, that's $25 more for a standard lockset.
How long will you be?
Usually inside the hour around Geelong. I'll give you a real arrival time on the phone, and I'll text you if traffic changes it.
Can you open the door without breaking anything?
Almost always. Standard residential locks open with picks and bypass tools and go back to working normally afterwards. Drilling only happens when a lock is genuinely beyond picking, and never before I've told you the cost.
I'm locked out with a baby or a pet inside. Can you prioritise it?
Say so when you call. Anything with a child, a pet or a stove left on goes to the front of the queue.
What do you need from me when you arrive?
Photo ID, or something that ties you to the address — a licence, a piece of mail, a lease, a rates notice. If you have none of it on you, ring your agent or landlord and I'll speak to them.
