Fitted properly, set up properly, and working before I leave.
A smart lock is only as good as the hole it's sitting in. Most of the ones I'm called out to fix were fitted straight over an old bore that was a few millimetres out, and they've been dragging on the strike ever since.
I fit Schlage, Samsung, Aqara, Orion and most of the Grid Connect range, plus the keypad locks sold at the big green shed. You get the codes working, the app paired and the key override shown to you before I pack up.

Smart lock questions
Which smart lock should I buy?
It depends on the door, not the brand. Tell me what the door is made of, how thick it is and what's on it now, and I'll tell you which locks actually fit and which ones will give you grief in a Geelong winter.
Can you supply the lock, or do I buy it?
Either. I can supply and fit, or fit one you've already bought — I'd just rather check it suits your door before you order it.
What happens if the battery dies?
Every lock I fit keeps a physical key override or an emergency power option, and I'll show you where it is on handover. You should never be locked out by a flat battery.
Do smart locks work with a deadbolt as well?
Yes, and on a front door I usually recommend it. The keypad handles the day-to-day and the deadbolt handles the night.
Can you set up codes for cleaners or guests?
Yes. Separate codes per person, so you can pull one without changing everything, which matters if you run a rental or a short-stay.
